Employee Privacy Notice and Consent
Introduction - This Privacy Notice and Consent describes how Discovery Life Sciences (“we”, “us”, or “DLS”) will collect and process personal information about you as an employee of DLS ordering or receiving products from DLS’s company store (the “Store”). This Privacy Notice applies only to employees only who are located in the European Union (“EU”), the European Economic Area (“EEA”), Switzerland, the United Kingdom (“UK”), and Ukraine. Your consent is needed for DLS to use your personal information you provide in connection with receiving and fulfilling any orders through the Store. We will only process your personal information as described in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by applicable law. We take steps to ensure that the personal information we collect about you is adequate, relevant, not excessive, and processed for limited purposes.
Information We Collect – You or DLS may provide your first and last name, home address, personal email address and/or personal telephone number to be used by or on behalf of DLS in connection with the Store. Providing your personal information for the Store is completely voluntary; however, we may not be able to fulfill an order for products from the Store with this information. The personal information you provide will not be for marketing purposes.
How We Use and Share Your Information and Consent - We only process your personal information as described in this Privacy Notice and in accordance with the consent you provide at the time you place an order through the Store. We do not sell your personal information. Your personal information will be disclosed to vendors providing services to Discovery with respect to the Store’s technical platform and order tracking and fulfillment. Third parties who have access to your personal information are located in the United States of America.
Right to Withdraw Consent - You have the right to amend and/or withdraw the consent granted at any time and for any reason. If you want to withdraw your consent (or if you have other questions about this Privacy Notice), please contact DLS’s Privacy Officer at Lisa.Montague@dls.com.
Retention and Deletion - Except as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law or regulation, we will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it.
Cross Border Transfers - DLS is a global corporation and has developed global privacy practices designed to appropriately protect your personal information. Please note that your personal information will be transferred to, accessed from and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions that are not be deemed to provide the same level of data protection as your home country. DLS has implemented data transfer agreements amongst its affiliates to secure the transfer of your personal information to these countries.
